Ellen Henry took a picture of the historic Edgemoor Barn in California without at first realizing what she caught on camera - a UFO. After checking the image on her digital camera, she noticed an object that she hadn’t seen with her naked eye, or heard. “I was at the Edgemoor property, in the middle of the day. … I was constantly looking up and around the area, including the sky’s background, so I can get it just right, and not at any time did I see anything in the sky or heard a sound of an aircraft,” she told ABC. Brad Pitt has one word for his marriage to Jennifer Aniston: “pathetic.”

The “Fight Club” star landed the shocking verbal sucker punch on his long-suffering ex-spouse in an upcoming interview with Parade magazine.

Pitt, who was promoting his new flick, “Moneyball,” talked about how uninteresting his life was during his time with Aniston and how his new life with Angelina Jolie and their six kids is bliss.

“I spent the ’90s trying to hide out,” he told Parade, which is to be published in The Post this weekend.

In 1965 Tulsa, Oklahoma, the Greasers are a gang of tough, low-income teens. They include Ponyboy Curtis (Howell) and his two older brothers, Sodapop (Lowe) and Darrel (Swayze), as well as Johnny Cade (Macchio), Dallas Winston (Dillon), Two-Bit Matthews (Estevez), and Steve Randle (Cruise). Their rivalry is with the Socs (pronounced “soashes”), a gang of wealthier kids. Five of the Socs jump Ponyboy and cut his neck with a switchblade; Johnny had been similarly attacked the month before. Two Socs, Bob Sheldon (Garrett) and Randy Adderson (Dalton), confront Johnny, Ponyboy, and Two-Bit, who are talking to the Socs’ girlfriends, Cherry (Lane) and Marcia (Meyrink), at the drive-in. The girls defuse the situation by going home with the Socs. Later that night, Ponyboy and Johnny are attacked in a park by Bob, Randy, and two other Socs. They begin dunking Ponyboy in a fountain, but Johnny pulls out his switchblade and stabs Bob, killing him.

On the advice of Dallas, Ponyboy and Johnny leave town, and hide out in an abandoned church in Windrixville. Ponyboy dyes his hair blonde with peroxide in case anybody spots him. He reads Gone with the Wind and quotes the Robert Frost poem “Nothing Gold Can Stay”. Dallas arrives with news that Cherry has offered to support the boys in court. They go out for food, then return to find the church on fire with children trapped inside. Johnny is hospitalized with severe burns and a broken back after he, Ponyboy, and Dallas rescue the children. The boys are praised for their heroism, but Johnny is charged with manslaughter for killing Bob, while Ponyboy may be sent to a boys’ home.

Bob’s death has sparked calls from the Socs for “a rumble,” which the Greasers win. Dally then drives Ponyboy to the hospital to visit Johnny. Johnny is unimpressed by the victory, and dies after telling Ponyboy to “stay gold,” referring to the Frost poem. Unable to bear Johnny’s death, Dally robs a grocery store at gunpoint and is killed by police. Ponyboy is eventually cleared of wrongdoing in Bob’s death and allowed to stay with his brothers. Turning the pages of Johnny’s copy of Gone with the Wind, Ponyboy finds a letter from Johnny saying that saving the children was worth sacrificing his own life. The story ends as it began, with Ponyboy writing a school report about his experiences.

Trent Reznor’s new Nine Inch Nails lineup lost its bassist earlier this week, but the band just gained another member. Guitarist Robin Finck, a longtime NIN associate, is joining the band’s touring lineup effective immediately.

Finck has worked with NIN since 1994 and last played with the band on its 2009 tour. “The addition of Robin to the mix of players I’ve assembled makes this band incredibly powerful and versatile,” Reznor wrote on the band’s Tumblr. “We are deep in the rehearsal process and it feels exciting and great to be back at this.”

A topless painting of actress Bea Arthur sold for $1.9 million at auction in New York on Wednesday night.

The 1991 painting by artist John Currin, called “Bea Arthur Naked,” was expected to fetch as much as $2.5 million in the post-war and contemporary art sale at Christie’s. It went to an anonymous bidder.

The Killers are an American rock band that was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2001, by Brandon Flowers (lead vocals, keyboards) and Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals). Mark Stoermer (bass, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion) would complete the current line-up of the band in 2002. The name The Killers is derived from a logo on the bass drum of a fictitious band, portrayed in the music video for the New Order song “Crystal”.^[4]

A 75-year-old resident of a New Jersey senior citizen housing complex is suspected of running a prostitution ring that employed some elderly residents as sex workers, NBC 4 New York has learned.

The suspect, James Parham, 75, was also accused, along with Cheryl Chaney, 66, of allowing residents and visitors to use crack in their apartments, police said.

Both are charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a nuisance, and Chaney is also charged with possession of crack cocaine.

In Parham’s case, the nuisance charge relates to allowing prostitution in his apartment and in Chaney’s case, it relates to allowing drug use in hers.

Englewood Police Chief Arthur O’Keefe told NBC 4 New York on Tuesday that Parham ran the prostitution ring through his apartments, and employed a mix of young women and older residents.

None of the alleged prostitutes were arrested.

O’Keefe says there was also sex and drug use going on in common areas of the complex, and that some seniors were afraid to venture into certain areas because they were afraid for their lives.

Richard Allaway, a resident, says he and others were aware of “a lot of nonsense going on.”

A lack of security in the building is believed to have contributed to the problem.

Kevin Thomas, who has loved ones living in the complex, said he couldn’t understand why older people were turning to crime.

“Why they wait so late in life to start doing stuff they should have did years ago, or shouldn’t have touched period, why do you wait this late?” he said.

An egg sandwich for $120? It’s no dream — a restaurant in Sydney, Australia recently made the fantastical breakfast sandwich a reality as part of an Australian pork industry organization’s “Bacon Week.”

The sandwich, which was created by 4Fourteen chef Carla Jones, features several ingredients that don’t strike us as particularly decadent, like bacon, smoked tomatoes, English cheddar, a handmade brioche bun and even a pan-fried duck egg. Others do, like foie gras, caviar, creme fraiche and shaved truffles. A side of chips will be served with a shaved truffle aioli.

Mourners are set to gather for the funeral of former Kris Kross rapper Chris Kelly in Atlanta.

Kelly’s funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church. The 34-year-old was found dead May 1 of a suspected drug overdose.

Former UFC interim heavyweight champion Shane Carwin on Tuesday announced that he has hung up his gloves for the final time, announcing his retirement via his official Twitter account.

“Officially retired 2day:-) thank you to my family, friends and fans! #dreambig GOD BLESS!!!” he wrote.

Carwin made his way to the UFC in May of 2008 on the strength of eight first-round finishes in his first eight fights as a professional.

He never looked back, winning his first four fights in the Octagon, keeping his streak of first-round finishes intact. Carwin defeated Christian Wellisch, Neil Wain, and Gabriel Gonzaga before demolishing Frank Mir for the interim UFC heavyweight championship in March of 2010 at UFC 111.

Carwin lost his interim belt to returning heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar in July at UFC 116.

He was then slated to fight Roy Nelson, but had to pull out of the bout due to back and neck pain that he eventually had neck surgery to alleviate. The injury and surgery sidelined him for the remainder of 2010 and the early part of 2011.

Carwin returned on June 11, 2011, at UFC 131 for the longest fight of his career. He took Junior dos Santos the full three rounds before losing a unanimous decision. It was the only time in Carwin’s career that one of his bouts went the distance.

It would also end up being the final bout of his career.

Carwin initially intended to return to the Octagon in late 2011 or early 2012, but succumbed to another surgery, this time on his back.

Midway through 2012, Carwin was tapped to coach The Ultimate Fighter 16 opposite Roy Nelson. He fulfilled his coaching obligations, but had to back out of their planned fight at the TUF 16 Finale scheduled for December.

This time it was Carwin’s knee that put him out of action.

During his career, Carwin amassed a 12-0 record – winning every fight in the first round – en route to becoming a UFC champion, before slipping to a final 12-2 resume.

All the while, he remained the same blue-collar, hard-working engineer that he was when he began his journey. Carwin always held his family up as his greatest achievement before anything he ever accomplished in the cage.

Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman dies at 49

Jeff Hanneman, the guitarist for Slayer since 1981, died Thursday of liver failure. He was 49.

“Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away at about 11 a.m. this morning near his Southern California home,” the band announced on its website.

Hanneman had been off the road since 2011 after he contracted necrotizing fasciitis, a flesh-eating disease, from a spider bite that nearly cost him his arm. The disease is believed to have contributed to his death, a rep for the band told The Associated Press.

Hanneman was a founding member of Slayer, along with fellow guitarist Kerry King, and had played on all 10 of the band’s studio releases.

He is survived by his wife Kathy, his sister Kathy, and his brothers Michael and Larry.

A small dog survived six days locked in a car without food or water. Zipper the pug-beagle mix was discovered inside the vehicle in a Seattle parking lot on Sunday.

Security guards working in the area found Zipper frightened and shaking. With the help of local police, they were eventually able free him from the car. The guards gave the little dog some food and water before releasing him to the Seattle Animal Shelter.

As reported by KOMO News, the vehicle’s owner was not in the area. Guards recall that the car was sitting in the lot for at least six days.

Officers with the Seattle police department eventually located a man who was supposed to be caring for the dog, as his girlfriend was out-of-town.

The boyfriend has not been charged, as officers have not proven how long the dog was locked inside the car. If they can prove Zipper was in the car for six days, without food or water, the man could be charged with neglect.

Renee Witt of the Seattle police department stated that they will be discussing reasonable pet care with the boyfriend.

Food and water are not the only concerns for animals locked inside a car. Like people, dogs are also at risk of heat stroke. As discussed by Paw-Rescue.org, a car parked in direct sunlight on days that reach temperatures above 60 degrees can be dangerous for a dog. It only takes 15 minutes for a dog to overheat.

Experts point out that parking a car in the shade, or rolling down windows, might not be enough to keep temperatures safe inside the car. Additionally, a dog may escape or injure itself attempting to escape through an open window.

Dogs do not sweat like humans. Dogs only sweat through their paws and cool themselves by panting.

Reasonable Pet Care ….. WTF??????

The crew team at New York’s Marist College came across a puzzling sight this week when a large, foam head, floating in the Hudson River, crossed their path toward the end of their morning row.

While on the river Monday morning, crew coach Matt Lavin was the first to spot the mysterious 7-foot-high, fiberglass-c0vered head, which is 4 to 5 feet wide. The ominous sighting gave the coach pause, and he had his team stay back as he approached to investigate.

“[Lavin] was in a small motor boat beside the team,” Greg Cannon, director of public affairs for the Poughkeepsie school, told ABCNews.com. “He didn’t know what it was at first, but saw it was an obstruction that would have been in the way of the shipping channel. So he went out to investigate.”

Once he realized he wasn’t in a scene from “The Planet of the Apes” and that it wouldn’t be terribly heavy, he wrapped a line around the head and towed it himself. The crew team then helped him pull in from the water.

“They pulled it in and it’s some kind of Styrofoam core with a fiberglass shell over it,” Cannon said. “Enough of the foam was exposed that it got water logged. It had gotten pretty heavy. Members of the team helped drag it up onto the dock.”

As for where the head came from, that’s still a mystery, but Cannon said he’s open to any theories.

The most compelling theory he has heard? The head is from a Mardi Gras float, was washed away by Hurricane Katrina and, eight years later, somehow ended up in the Hudson River.

Cannon laughed that off, but said that it could be close.
